DIAMON-FUSION®

Diamon-Fusion® is patented award-winning protective coating technology which can be easily installed on existing surfaces in homes, businesses and vehicles or mass-applied during a manufacturing process. DFI’s nanochemistry is applicable to most surfaces containing silica (silicon dioxide) such as glass, ceramic tile, porcelain, granite and quartz. The chemical reaction of Diamon-Fusion® bonds to form an ultra-thin protective layer of optically clear material which makes the surface significantly easier to clean, increases their brilliance, protects that beauty, creates a more hygienic surface, and eliminates the need for harsh and harmful cleaning chemicals. It can also make glass surfaces more scratch and impact resistant. Click here to learn more about Diamon-Fusion®.

Diamon-Fusion® can be applied to surfaces that have already been installed or in an authorized factory or fabricator facility. If the surfaces has already been stained, Restoration will be required prior to the Diamon-Fusion® treatment in order achieve the long-lasting bond for which Diamon-Fusion® is famous. This method is done at nano-scale levels, which is a length scale of approximately 1-100 nanometer range (1 nanometer is 1 billionth of a meter. A human hair is approximately 40,000 nanometers thick). Nanometer dimensions are at the atomic dimension scale. The bond created in the patented process is a covalent bond. A covalent bond means that the coating shares the electrons with the glass itself, thus becoming a part of the glass. Covalent bonds are approximately 10 times stronger than hydrogen-bridge bonds, which are commonly present in most other water repellent coatings.

Stage 1
The chemical reaction created in the first stage causes a “cross-linked” and “branched” silicone film to be grown from below the surface out. After converting the chlorine atoms to OH groups using additional moisture (chlorine was left at the end of the atom chains after the first stage), a second specially formulated vapor is introduced to the surface.

Stage 2
The second stage ‘caps’ the entire chain of atoms. This unique ‘capping’ substantially increases the hydrophobicity and durability, leaving, chemically speaking, no points of attachment for contaminants and creating a truly repellent charge. A patented nanotechnology, improves and protects the surfaces of glass, tile, porcelain, granite, and most silica-based surfaces.

Surfaces treated with Diamon Fusion® become:

  • Highly water-repellent (hydrophobic), and so:
    • Require less frequent cleanings
    • Experience a reduction in mold and bacteria
  • Easier to clean – eliminating the need for harsh chemical cleaners.
  • Stain and graffiti resistant.
  • Oil repellent (oleophobic).
  • Scratch resistant.
  • Impact resistant.
  • Resistant to leaching of calcium and sodium (etching caused by hard water).
  • At least 1,000 times more electrical resistant (additional electrical insulation).
  • At least 20% more brilliant (shine in glass surfaces). Environmentally friendly.

Maintenance

Diamon Fusion® is similar to the development of Teflon®* for cooking pans. While you can cook food in uncoated pans, it is so much easier to clean if you cook with Teflon®* coated pans. If you burn certain foods in pans without non-stick coatings, it often means that you must throw the pan away. Those same foods when cooked in a coated pan, clean up rather easily. The same is true with Diamon Fusion® on glass or other silica-based surfaces. While you still must maintain your Diamon Fusion® coated surface, the time and effort required are significantly reduced. The warmer and dirtier the water, the greater the surface tension and spotting, thus shower doors require more maintenance than other applications.

What's special about treated surfaces is that those spots, if removed every few days, will not stick and can be easily removed with a damp washcloth. (You wouldn't put away your Teflon®* coated pan right after you cooked in it unless you gave it a quick rinse and dry. We suggest, every few days you use a body Loofah glove or a regular body scrubber (sponge). If you do notice a slight build up of grime, simply apply a little soap to the glove or body scrubber and gently wipe over the area, then rinse off with cold water. Simple as that! And all of this can be done while you are having your shower, saving you even more time.

Diamon Fusion® eliminates the need of any HARSH, EXPENSIVE and TOXIC CHEMICAL SHOWER SPRAYS.

Testimonials

"I had Diamon-Fusion® applied on my shower enclosure in October 2001 and it is still very effective and has more than exceeded my expectations after all of these years." - Tom Thompson, consumer, July 2008
